Organization and Funding
Global Maritime Ministries, Inc., is a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the Gospel with seafarers and port personnel. A Board of Directors, comprised of twenty-five ministers and lay people, predominantly from the New Orleans area, guides this ministry. The Executive Director and staff oversee the day-to-day operations.
The ministry is funded by direct donations. In 2008, ninety-two percent (92%) of our annual budget came from direct gifts of churches and individuals. Eight percent (8%) was given through budget supplements from the Louisiana Baptist Convention and the Baptist Association of Greater New Orleans.
